Hi, I’m Susie Loomis.

When I first began my journey with Reiki, I had no idea where it would lead me.

The changes it would make in my day to day life, the mindset shift, the way I viewed myself and the people around me. I had been looking for a change, a bright light to lead me out of the darkness that had begun to envelop me.

Reiki was that light.

Guided to seek out Reiki after a palm reading, it began as just a tiny spark, yet it has steadily become a bigger, more important and influential presence in my life. I came to my first Reiki teacher by way of a pottery class of all things. Her studio was next door to the Potter’s Guild and it still took me months to understand that synchronicity and seek her out. Since my first Reiki attunements in her class, my heart expanded and the feeling of coming home to a place I had once known, and been so beloved by, has awakened a passion within me to share this incredible gift.

That tiny spark became a steadily glowing ember within me. My desire is to bring that light to others, to be a beacon in the dark, guiding others back to the light within themselves.

A Michigan native, based in Fenton, I’ve spent 20 years as a rural mail carrier with the USPS. My home is filled with two Boston terriers that I absolutely adore, two cats—sisters & litter mates that look nothing alike, too many (and still never enough) books, crystals, pillows, and dog toys. They all keep me on my toes and give the best cuddles after a long day.

What is Reiki?

Reiki is a gentle, hands-on (or off, if that is your preference) technique for stress reduction and relaxation from Japan that also promotes healing. Clients remain fully clothed throughout the session as the practitioner moves around them, placing their hands either lightly on, or just over, areas of the body, including the energy centers known as chakras. Reiki energy then flows through the practitioners hands to the client, clearing blockages, moving stagnant energy, and rebalancing the chakras.

Karuna Reiki® in particular can assist in the deep healing and releasing of past life and karmic issues, repressed traumas (child, sexual, and/or physical abuse)—oftentimes without needing to re-experience the trauma or pain, and can help in healing addiction. This is just a small portion of what we can work through with a Karuna Reiki® session!

Each session is completely personalized to you. I will move through the standard hand placements as well as intuitively guided placements.

Reiki experiences

Reiki experiences begin with a short, guided meditation before I stop talking while you continue with your own experience entirely guided by Holy Fire® Reiki. When it is finished, I will bring you back from the meditation.

A journal to write down your experience is highly recommended!
